SERVICES AVAILABLE  

Metabolic and physiologic investigation of muscle disorders using exercise testing, EMG, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, near infrared spectroscopy, muscle biopsy, skin biopsy and detailed biochemical analysis. Patients are referred from all over the world for diagnosis or muscle can be sent to our laboratory for biochemical analysis.


   
INFORMATION NEEDED TO BEGIN  

Referrals or further information can be obtained by calling or e-mailing the center. Information needed includes patient's name, address, telephone, social security number, date of birth, diagnosis or symptoms, referring physician, and insurance information.


   
DIAGNOSIS AND SYMPTOMS  

Specializing in glycolytic defects, lipid defects, and mitochondrial myopathies. Symptoms may include rhabdomyolysis, cramping, fatigue, weakness, myalgia, myoglobinuria, and ophthalmoplegia.

Reference Laboratory   Muscle biopsies and specimens can be referred by shysicians for biochemical analysis.  The current available panel is a Glycolytic Enzyme Panel.  Click here to obtain the form for specimen submission.
